Work Permit and LTVP

Hi,

I am a Singaporean living in Singapore. My husband is an American currently working in Malaysia. We are hoping that he can get a job posting to Singapore.

1. Can I apply for LTVP when he is not in Singapore? The application has a field for disembarkation information. (I mean, I can apply for it when he enters Singapore but I'm not sure if it will affect his departure from the country?)

2. Assuming he does get a posting and the company proceeds to apply for his work permit, can application submissions for work permit (by company) and LTVP (by me) be made concurrently?

If it needs disembarkation information, meaning he has to be in SG. It won't affect anything to his departure. A company may apply work permit for him, while he still waiting for LTVP (by you).
