REP Renewal

Post by rjk80 » Wed, 13 Feb 2019 9:19 pm

Currently, I am outside Singapore for few years and planning to come back after a year but my REP renewal has already reached his date, On REP getting renewed then there is nothing to discuss. On getting rejected
1. Do I still hold my PR or what will my PR status from there on?
2. On rejection do I get a chance to produce my medical reasons/documents to justify?

Kindly share your points.

If you are out of the country and your REP expires or the government does not renew it, you no longer have PR.

If you are in the country and your REP expires and is not renewed, you keep your PR but the instant you leave the country, your PR is invalid.

"Permanent resident" means that you reside in the country permanently, and if you don't do that, the government doesn't want you.
