Student Pass and Dependent Pass

Hello,

My son was recently approved a Student Pass, but at the same time, we have a dependent pass pending for him (it took long time so we applied for student Pass). Just wondering if he's approved for dependent pass, will there be an issue with him holding both passes? Eg. I've read that you cannot hold two passes simultaneously but seems like student passes are different? Thanks
