Singapore PR Process

Post by nickjohnson » Thu, 03 Jan 2019 11:08 am

Hi all,

Happy New Year to you all. It might be noob question, please dont mind, but I would like to know opinion on the following if I land a job with a base in Singapore if I am canadian citizen

1. Can I apply for PR right away after getting higher class EP on my first day of work? How long it takes to get PR?
2. During PR waiting time, can my spouse who is not from Singapore also apply for PR? or she have to wait for me first?
3. If I have a base in Singapore, but if I travel rest of SEA, can my application still process correct?
4. How long from PR to Citizen?

Would really appreciate if someone can chime in.

Yes,You can technically apply. But will be rejected right away
2. During PR waiting time, can my spouse who is not from Singapore also apply for PR? or she have to wait for me first?
First focus on getting your PR, which itself is going to be tough
3. If I have a base in Singapore, but if I travel rest of SEA, can my application still process correct?
It can be processed, but does not mean it will be approved
4. How long from PR to Citizen?
Minimum 2 years on paper. But needs longer than that. Atleast 5 years based on average

Would really appreciate if someone can chime in.
