PR Application for Student - Rejected

Post by Apolloriser » Sun, 23 Dec 2018 4:30 pm

Greetings.

So far I haven't come across any post regarding any student PR applications and I'd like to share how my experience went. Feel free to comment and share your experiences too, I believe it would benefit other people too.

Background info:

I'm a 20 year old male as of this date and I have been living in Singapore since I was 15 with my family (Arrived in SG at 2013 and I am originally from the Philippines). I have studied in a local secondary school since secondary 3, completed my O levels and am a third year student at a local polytechnic. I'm also holding onto a dependants pass under my mothers sponsorship. Additionally, I've been donating blood through the blood bank roadshows at my school & been involved in community work. Think of all the sorts of combinations people use to boost their applications. I've done it.

Ah yes, I had applied for PR for myself earlier this year in July and after 6 months my application was rejected.

Additionally, before ePR came into place, my family applied together under my mother (Including my sister and I only. Our parents are separated) twice and both were deemed unsuccessful. Since then I sought to apply on my own.

And yes, that's my story. Do share your thoughts, feelings or any advice.

I plan to reapply again but does the "Wait 6 months and then try again" rule prevail when there isn't any statement in the rejection letter which stipulates any suggestion to reapply after a given time period?
