Wife left job before LTVP application

Hi,

My wife (an SC) has recently left her job and I need to apply for an LTVP, I am from the UK. I am aware that they assess her income as she is effectively my sponsor but as she is currently looking for a new position so not currently earning.

Should we still try and apply for an LTVP or is it best to wait until she has found a new position as I believe she may need to provide proof of employment?

If you apply asap she might be able to use her last payslip.
