Hi I just got my PR recently but unluckily due to some vocational disease, I think I am not able to continue with my current job.
My concern is, will this affect my future if I quit immediately? I only have a few dollars in my CPF account now. Does this leave a bad impact on my future citizenship application or job hunting?
My current plan is to go unemployed for a few months and try to get healthy before going back to work.
Thanks for any advice in advance.

Effects on quitting job after getting PR
Re: Effects on quitting job after getting PR
No, you can be unemployed as long as you can afford but at some point when your REP comes up for renewal you will have issues getting a renewal. Also taking a very low paying job will not help for REP renewal.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Re: Effects on quitting job after getting PR
I would think the benefits of staying employed with sick leave would at least help out - even "unpaid" leave for a while whilst staying employed would look much better on both future job applications and on REP.
