Please ask Company A to withdraw the application and see what is their reply. But if IPA is already there, you should be able to start work immediately?Leapagoy wrote: ↑Fri, 07 Aug 2020 2:04 amHi,
I have a situation whereby I have gone through interview process with company A for almost 5 months (!) because they were extremely slow in moving but in the end I accepted the offer. However due to my anxiety of waiting and also because I lacked confidence in their process I continued interviewing and had another much better offer with company B. I have decided to go with company B and notified company A about this.
The status with company A is EP recently approved but I have not signed the IPA.
1. How can I get company A to help withdraw the application if they are unresponsive?
2. Should I let company B know about my situation?
Help!

I have asked Company A to withdraw but they are basically ghosting me (HQ is based overseas). This is why i was frustrated throughout the entire process, it was very difficult for A to move quickly.
Yes I could start work with A but I decided to go with B instead based on reasons I mentioned earlier.

You can decide, but since you accepted offer with company A and EP is approved you are bound by the contract to work for company A. You cant say i didnt sign IPA. It does not matter.Leapagoy wrote: ↑Fri, 07 Aug 2020 11:30 amI have asked Company A to withdraw but they are basically ghosting me (HQ is based overseas). I would suggest to join company A.
There is a chance that Company A can wantedly delay the process for you and you are bound by the job offer and by this time Company B loses interest in hiring you?

Company A agreed to withdraw application. Any idea how long does this usually take and will candidate be able to view the status once it has been done?
