Two month internship in Singapore

Post by sabmalkump » Sun, 28 Oct 2018 5:56 am

I've been offered a two-month internship in Singapore over the winter holiday and I'm looking for a bit of advice on a few things - mainly accommodation and a bank account.

In terms of accommodation, what would most people usually go for? I'm not getting paid a whole lot during the internship so I can't really afford a hotel and a lot of Service Apartments are too expensive as well for that duration. Is it normal to find private rooms somewhere for that duration? Airbnb looks relatively expensive as well (but I might have to just deal with paying).

I believe I'm going to need a bank account for the company to pay me. Would I be able to open a bank account as a foreigner who is only staying two months?
