About borang k (SC application)

Post by danaima » Thu, 25 Oct 2018 8:59 pm

I just submitted my borang k at MHC 3 days ago, and i m curious to ask if there is any factors contributing to the borang k getting rejected within the 8 months of waiting?

I filled in the photocopy version and the yellow form in mainly english than malay (like i wrote my race as 'chinese' instead of 'cina') and i don't really remember the officer commented on this when verifying them, he didnt say anything about it too when i passed it to him for thumb printing. Then after submitting only now i heard i am supposed to fill everything in malay and now i m just fearful all that 1year and a half of applying is gonna go down the drain bc of one language error

Can anyone who has gotten back their borang k or had encountered issues along the waiting verify about this? It can doesnt have to be similar to my situation though...

Did the Malaysian authority actually sent you a letter to say your application for renunciation has been rejected?

One of my friend had been waiting for his Borang K approval for almost 10 months and finally decided to send them an email to enquire reasons for the delay. He got a reply next day apologizing for the delay and that they will check and revert. The following day, the renunciation was approved and they told him the Borang K will be sent to MHC via next diplomatic pouch. Guess the delay was due to the recent change in government.

I wouldn't worry about this. For your info, I filled up the religion as "Christian" instead of "Kristian" and it still got processed and approved. :)
