ENTERING A TOURIST THEN GETTING LTVP

Post by infoneeded » Tue, 23 Oct 2018 8:17 pm

Hi,

I'm a Brit planning to move to Singapore with my girlfriend who is a SC. If I enter the country as a tourist with the 90 day visa, what happens if we get married and the I apply for a LTVP? Does this override my tourist visa, would there be any complication because I came in on the tourist visa?

Thanks

Nope, no complication. But your tourist visa may run out before you get your LTVP, plan for that. I believe if you do the pre-marriage assessment that can help speed things up.
