Enquiry on PR

Post by rafmilleza » Fri, 05 Oct 2018 4:54 pm

Hi guys!

I am a 22 year old Filipino who is currently residing in the Phillipines. In the recent years, I was on Dependent’s Pass from 2008 - 2016. I also graduated with PSLE, N Level and O Level certificates. Then, I was on Student’s Pass til I graduated in 2017 from Shatec Institutes with a diploma. Also, all my family members still reside in Singapore. My mother is currently on E Pass and my father and siblings are on Dependent’s Pass. I understand that once the child turns 21, the Dependent’s Pass will be cancelled.

Having spent most of my life in Singapore, I am truly keen on going back to my family and also settle down in what I deem now as home which is Singapore. Would there be a chance for me to go back to Singapore through any possible scheme?

I was recently on a social visit pass and was looking for jobs there but most companies either have no quota or only accept PR or Singaporean citizen. I have also done my research on the internet and have asked around but there were barely any information related to my situation.

Thank you guys!

If you had stayed in SG continuosly, you could have applied for PR on your own. Eventhough it is not guaranteed, you would have still had a chance as they have a category called "Student studying in Singapore" for PR
