Query: Good startup events to attend in Singapore

Hi everyone,

I am new to Singapore and am keen to invest in interesting early stage companies here in Singapore. I understand from friends that there is an area in one north that i can pop by to seek out such companies but wanted to make better use of my time.

Question: Are there any recommended startup communities here in Singapore that you would suggest for me to kickstart this journey or process?

The one at one north should be the one called "Block 71" or "LaunchPad@One North".

They might be affiliated with NUS. Not very active in the VC space myself but from what my friends have been sharing I think it may be advisable to link up with the VC community instead of the startup community (?) and check out local accelerators and incubators!
