What did you guys bring when relocating?

Post by Furball77 » Wed, 26 Sep 2018 3:49 pm

Hi guys, just wanna find out what if its preferable to move the entire contents of my home or just to buy things new when I reach my destination country. Seems like a big hassle to pack everything and ship over right?

What did you guys do and how much of a nightmare is it to ship full contents of home?

A briefcase, small suitcase and a diving helmet. That was 36 years ago.

The shirt on my back, my Wham-O and the paperback edition of Culture Shock: Singapore. That was 38 years ago.

I'd bring little, you can either rent furnished or equip an apartment for not very much.

Don't bring too much! I barely brought anything bulky.

You can always send some stuff over (if you really need it - freight is a nightmare).
