Work Permit Required for Remote Contractor?

Post by holee123 » Tue, 25 Sep 2018 4:38 pm

Hi everyone!

I have been working remotely for a Singaporean startup as a remote contractor while I'm in Australia. However I'm planning a trip to Singapore in a couple of months, and work at the startup for a short while, which is enough for the 90 days visit pass I'll be getting.

Do I have to apply for any work permit to carry on working, as I will be carrying on working during the trip, and considering I'm a remote contractor, is it ok to work remotely for a Singaporean business while I'm there for a short trip?

Thanks in advance for any response! :D

I think you can visit with tourist visa since most of the time you work remotely from Australia. You are not working in Singapore full -time and sit in the office. It is a short trip so get your tourist visa.
