How much water should I drink per day to be healthy?
There are many misconceptions about drinking 8 glasses of water a day. What do you think about it? I am curious to know how much water to drink to be healthy.

From an academic/research point of view, we don't really know for sure how much is enough - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4473081/
But 4-6 glasses of water sounds like a good place to start!

Hi, drinking 8 glasses of water a day is recommended from health authorities. But if really want to become a healthy you have to do an exercise because if you do an exercise no doubt you can drink a lot of water and replenish your body. You can drink more than 8 glasses of water if you do this.

I believe this changes for everyone.
I don't have a reference, I only have the experience:
Whenever I drink more that 2 liters of water, I'm having the best day.
And when I reduce it, (forgetting to drink any water for a full day) I experience headaches and tiredness.
(I drank half a liter right after I see this post!)

4 to 6 glasses are too little. I actually suggest at least 3 litres per day. Drinking more water is always good for your body. Helps in metabolism, better skin, flushing toxins, etc.

clarence.fitness, I beg to differ. drinking more than 3 litres of water per day will tend to wash badly needed electrolytes and trace minerals out of your body. You should drink just enough to quench your thirst. If you work in an office all day, you may only need 2 litres or less a day, but if you are a foreign worker working outdoors, you may well need at least 3 ltrs, but you cannot say a blanket for all is "at least 3 litres" a day. Patently incorrect.

While the general recommendation is 6-8 glasses a day, a good rule of thumb is that if you are thirsty, you’re already dehydrated. Drink regularly throughout the day rather than chugging it all at one go.
