Hi All,
I am on an LTVP in Singapore. I have teaching credentials but less than a year of teaching experience in my home country. I am looking for teaching positions in mathematics or business studies.I don't want to give up on my teaching career since I really enjoy it so much.Any advice on how to secure a teaching job, part time or full time, will be really helpful.
Thanks

Try for substitute positions. Most of the IS have a list of sub teachers they keep on hand to call at short notice. Math is rare on the ground. They will take LTVP for short periods. Once you're in you may be able to flip to a full time position. Also most ISschools here hire people with short periods of experience to save costs on experienced teachers. What curriculum are you certified in?
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I have a PGCEi and have taught the IGCSE math curriculum. I have been reading on the guidelines and I understand that as a LTVP holder on the back of a child on student pass in Singapore, I wont be allowed to work for one year. Is that right? or can I work if an employer is ready to sponsor an employment pass?

Yes - getting an EP fixes that problem. It sounds like you should talk to some of the GCSE schools (Global Indian etc).
