Barbeque party - advice

hi, have to throw a bbq party for hubby's collegues... its a pot luck kinda thing where evryone coming also gets a small something.. but the bulk of the dishes are still mine (since the venue is my place :>).. can someone share what the more 'local' and popular fares for this kinda setting are ?? thnx in adavance :>

Why worry about "local". You will be cherished for what you cook.

Me... I think grilled pork ribs, Italian sausage, grilled corn on the cob, potatoes cooked in goose fat, and a great big green salad chock full of tomatoes, yellow peppers, and what have you is a meal that anyone could enjoy.
