I'm baking my own bread for years now in Singapore but never found any fresh yeast.
At Serene Centre- Bukit Timah road there is a small supermarket upstairs.
They have real stable dty yeast called Fermipan

There's a new bakery supply place next to Da Paolo's pizza restuarant in Holland Village. They should have it if anyone does.
