If you’re able to find this forum then you should be able to google ICA website to find out. Here goes:AlexHK wrote:My REP is expiring in December. When is the earliest date I can renew it? Sorry I couldn’t find this anywhere.
Thanks!
I don't see any reason why ICA should see it bad. We are talking about a 3 month window.AlexHK wrote:Is there a downside to renewing early? Heard some rumors that ICA doesn't like too early applications?! True or fake news?
Exactly. A few months shortfall matters not a whit if you can't travel for work!x9200 wrote:I don't see any reason why ICA should see it bad. But the downside of renewing earlier is that you lose the REP time. Upon successful renewal, the old REP is terminated and the new one immediately kicks in.
Personally I do it ca 1.5month before the expiry unless I have some specific reasons to do it earlier (i.e. travel). This 1.5 is just in case, to have a buffer if something goes wrong - I recall some posts beginning this year where people didn't get approval in 2 months or so.
