Mind boggled - Ep question

Post by jay1979 » Sat, 25 Aug 2018 9:42 am

Hey all
Just renewed my Ep for another 3 years. I’m self employed and have 4 dependents under me ( three kids and Wife ) and 2 ltvp my parents. All their extensions approved in a day except my Son ( 4 month old ) by status showing “we need inputs from other agencies and may take 4 weeks “. A little surprising as my Daughter who is his twin got approved. Ofcourse I am quite certain there won’t be an issue at the end but just wondering.

Don’t think it’s my salary as it’s pretty high plus got a healthy business.

I recently applied for pr again for my whole family last month so not sure if it has anything to do with it ( having a son and accepting NS responsibility on the declaration etc )

I believe it’s two separate matters but if anyone has any useful insights or theories !

Thanks
Jay

It's his gender. The relevant agencies include possibly CMPB and ICA. As at birth you can literally opt out of having your son be ever responsible for NS they need to check.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

Thanks yes I would think so too. When we applied last month I did sign the declaration that we are fine with him serving NS. Let’s hope he’s my ticket Image

Sometimes, certain applications are randomly picked up for vetting.Nothing to worry based on what you have said.
