There was a case recently of an Indian in MBS swimming pool molesting women and he was given a much lighter sentence. So it appears US laws are more stricter than SG.

WD40 can you give some insight on what goes on with these people? Where does this attitude come from? Both had their wives with them, and the guy in SG his daughter.

I've seen other similar cases involving Indian nationals. How do they even think they would get away with it?

It comes from upbringing and society values, where women are considered as inferior and objects of sex. I guess, he must have done similar stuff in India at maybe a lighter scale and got away with it. In India law enforcement is so slow that women often don't bother to report and in the society molestation is not equal to a criminal act like it is in the west.

I think this guy got carried away after the girl intially didn't put up any resistance. Maybe he thought she is enjoying it. Yeah, too much watching of porn and people believe that women actually enjoy it.

Thanks - that's interesting. India has been getting bad press recently with the way women are treated. I guess this is how it manifests itself when people travel.
