Looking for a nice resort in Bintan

We plan to go to Bintan this week end (fri-sun), which resort would you recommend?
Our idea is to RELAAAX, so we dream of a room with a nice terasse and view to the sea. Would be perfect on the ground level and not too far from the sea.

Also what activities would you recommend? I'd love to do snorkelling but I heard it's too early (starts end of March)

Just got back from Angsana and it was very very nice. Ask them for a ground floor room, then you have your own courtyard and can walk stright out to the pool or beach.

May I ask which type of room you got and at what rate? Did you have a seaview?

My travel agent told me that you have to pay in US dollars there and that there isn't really anything around if you want to eat out. How did you feel about it?
