Click on the quotes to get the entire post quoted as above. Then delete out the parts (and add what you want as below.

Noted. But very tiring if the post contains voluminous text and you only wish to cite a small section.

Just highlight the portion of the text that you want, copy it and then paste it in your message box. Highlight it and click the quote button in the menu above the message box. Done. (It will not put the attention to the OP you are quoting though). If you are typing in the quick reply box at the bottom of the page, you will need to high the link below the message box 'Full Editor & preview' to go to the reply page with the menu bar for editing.
