Hi all, I had my registration in Jul 2017, and up to now is almost 13 months and my PR application status is still "pending". Just wondering what I can do to expedite it.
A bit information about me. I'm Chinese national, 28 yo, single male, and I came to Singapore since 2004 (so, 14 years now) and that was secondary school. I had my secondary school, JC, bachelor and master degree all in Singapore. I am now working as architect (registered).
This is my second application. I made my first application in 2015, and after 6 months, ICA requested for my parent's CV. After another 4 months, my application was rejected. I certainly had no idea of the reason given I've been here for so long. My friends suspected two reasons: 1. The year of SG50 may be more stringent on the applications; 2. My mum is a policewoman (works for the government) in China, that'd probably explained why they rejectetd me after asking for my parent's CV. But honestly speaking, our city is so small and her role in the police station is quite minor. I kind of stated that in her CV.
So I applied the second time in 2017 Jul, and up to now it has been almost 13 months. Recently I am thinking of changing jobs and I've got turned down by a couple of employers because i am not a PR. So i am really in a hurry to know how to expedite the application. Please share with me your experiences or any idea on my situation?
I have emailed ICA at ICA_REP@ica.gov.sg a couple of weeks ago, but I didnt receive a reply. Is this the right email address? Has anybody received a reply from ICA before?
What are the other ways that I might be able to consider to chase ICA?
Thanks for your time and help.

Re: 13 months waiting for PR
Honestly? You can't. Not with any effectiveness, anyway. For all intents and purposes, you cannot do SFA except wait. The waiting time? 18, 20, 24 months? We see them before here as well. Accepted and rejected both, so you cannot even use the length of the wait as a barometer either.
