My mother is on visitor pass for 3 months. I applied her ltvp as local sponsor but it was rejected within 10 days.
I made an appeal and they asked me for various documents after a week.
Until 3 weeks they did not reply and when I called I was told that it's rejected.
I can't access the application online and there is no letter sent to me.
What should I do? Can make another appeal?
I also doubt if the officer was referring to rejection of ltvp or appeal? Any chance she referred to original ltvp application status?
I am worried...pls help

Rejected is rejected. You're Indian I assume? Singapore doesn't seem to want to accept the collateral loading of having Indians bring their parents in as carers for their children. Is your income about the limit?
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or
http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

I think the income limit for PR to sponsor parents is not explicitly published by ICA. But I think it should safe to infer from MoM’s published income threshold of $12,000 for EP holders, and +/- from there.

Medical expenses in Singapore are very high and Indians are usually cheapos and don't buy insurance. Maybe insurance in Singapore doesn't even cover old people. So maybe the govt doesn't want hospitals in Singapore to be loaded with old foreigners who don't have enough money to pay for the expenses.
I know a recent case of a reckless Indian couple, who didn't have enough insurance and they knew the husband has a complicated kidney condition, yet they took the risk of working in Singapore on EP. Then by bad luck, that guys both kidneys failed and they didn't have money to pay the hospital, I think they chocked up bills worth 200k or something. Their years of savings was not enough. Then they went on Facebook asking for charity. Why do Indians do this?

- $12,000 for sponsor/EP holder, not combined salaries with spouse.
- oh really? You mean only PR can afford to hold many assets and investments and S/EP holders cannot afford?
- Lily Liu Ling Yan - PRC then?

As others have mentioned there are some unpublished criteria we think. You're not the only one frustrated by this but it does seem the Indians are suffering from this more than others as we see more of them on this board. However the bias may be false.
