yas! Chye seng huat hardware is da bomb. really love the concept and its easily accessible! not to mention their fancy equipments laid out at the counter to do all their french press, drip and whatever other ways of making coffee.
even though coffee is just coffee to me and i dont really know the difference between how theyre brewed, i really like the ambience of the place! reminds me of the good ole times

if you are talking about mc cafe, then yes it arent bad. But if its those morning breakfast coffee, its bad.
Starbucks aren't that bad except you are having more sugar than caffeine. Well you can ask them to reduce the sugar level when ordering. It taste better

starbucks is very expensive as compared to what we can get elsewhere. no doubt its good, but not everyone might wanna pay that premium price for that sorta coffee.
any of y'all make your own coffee at home? like french press drip or whatever? just wanna how whats the experience like and how long does it usually take. if it dosent take long i'd actually consider making my own cup every morning. lol

I like to use a steam percolator for my weekend espresso. Takes about 5-10mins depending how fancy I want to make it, but a nice ritual.

If you enjoy rituals buy yourself a siphon coffee maker. Watching the process alone is already lots of fun.
