Can I revisit Singapore

Post by Tequilla1511 » Wed, 13 Jun 2018 4:03 am

I would like to visit Singapore again. But I have concerns whether I would be allowed to visit.

I was born and raised in Singapore and left at age 20 after completing national service. I have lived in the United States for 38 years and have since renounced my Singapore citizenship and am a US citizen with US passport. I am concerned that I might run into trouble upon reentry into Singapore because I did not apply for any deferments for national service reservist trainings while living in the US.

I would be very interested to know your thoughts on this matter.

Thank you.

If you 'successfully' renounced your SG citizenship, e.g., have the letter from the government of renunciation, then you have no worries.
