Hi All,

I applied for my PEP about 10 weeks ago. I applied it online and not via SingPost like most of you here have. I'd like to know - is it typical for an application to take over 8 weeks?

Also, has anyone here applied for PEP online? What was your experience like and what was the timeline for the outcome?

Additionally, do you guys recommend reaching out to the department to get an update? I understand everyone is super busy at the moment with the current affairs. Do let me know your thoughts.

Cheers,
Please do wait for 2-4 more weeks within which they will let you know. The delay may be due to the current virus spread.

I got my PEP approved few weeks back (end of Jan'20, before the virus impact & added workload for MOM) . It took almost 10 weeks from my date of online submission.

I reached out to MOM service centre in 9th week (after patiently waiting for 8 weeks) to seek status update. And a day later, i received an email from case officer requesting for additional document (I missed providing local contact detail in the form!). So i believe it might be prudent to call service centre (post 8-week), and they do provide you a case reference number so you can follow up if required.

Cheers,

I also face a time challenge on my pep application. If the pep is approved, can it be issued online immediately or do you have to make an appointment to issue it at MOM service center?

How come there's no Application Number indicated whenever I check the status online? Is that normal? It is still getting processed, right? PEP was applied on April 3rd.

@LuluLily please keep me updated on yours as well - I applied a few days after you (April 12th). The application number seems to be on the top right when you check the status.

@LuluLily As I applied on the same day (3rd of July) still pending for me..
I do hope next week should get a update or will give them a call.

Did call them a few weeks ago, just to be sure I didn't miss any information, but the call agent couldn't say more then "Its going to take 8 weeks, but should be ok if you haven't received a request for more information by now.." so hoping for the best :)

It's still pending as of today, tomorrow is the 8th-week mark. And no, that's not the application number on the top right. It should be written below the name of the applicant. The application number is still left blank in our case.

How's your application doing?

3rd July or did you mean 3rd of April? Coz July seemed like a very long time ago.

Same. Today is the 8th week. We called to ask, they said there's a lot of backlogs and if we don't get any updates today, we can call again on Monday and they will expedite. How's your status?
