Just received the PEP approval. I had applied on 9th May.
Thanks to all the folks on this forum for keeping it so active and collaborative all through. I hope it helped/helps the rest as well, as it did for me.
Good Luck and Stay Safe!

Hi,

I received my PEP approval. I’m about to cancel my EP and get my PEP issued. I’d like to know how to manage the DP process.

Situation - My current employer has issued us the EP and DP, when I request the employer to cancel my EP, they’ll effectively cancel the DP as well.

1. When is a good time to apply for DP ? After issuing my PEP or before?

2. What is the process to apply for DP and timelines for issue?

I’m worried that if I issue my PEP and cancel EP and DP with my current employer, would I have enough time to get the DP issued.

Some advice on this Will be helpful.

Note - my pep application didn’t include the DP at the time of application.

Apply for DP immediately If your PEP is already approved. I’d keep around 6-8 weeks as ceiling for approval timeline

Do I need to issue my PEP before applying for DP or I can apply for DP if I have received the IPA letter.

Go ahead and apply for DPs immediately. If your IPA is nearing 6 months expiration then go get the PEP card issued meanwhile in parallel if DP approvals are not done by then

I also noticed that my IPA expiry date have been moved from August to October. Was there some kind of change in the IPA timelines issued by MOM.

My IPA expiry date on the email says august, while my ipa expiry date in the website says October.

Is this some kind of system issue?

Book an appointment for advisory services on MoM website and go check with them on your queries about extension.
If I were you I wouldn’t go by assumptions and hearsay.

Just another data point - Applied 29 May and got approval on 21 July so less than 2 months. Hopefully things are starting to pick up again as this seems way quicker than the others.

However, have tried in the last two days to get an appointment but all dates seem taken in the next two weeks. People have same issues?

Hi guys.

I've received my PEP approval today. Since I applied June 4th, this has taken 54 days.
The next issue would be to deal with the remaining paperwork, get the permit to return to SG (since flew to Spain to wait here), and find flights. But overall, good news. It does seem that delays are being reduced.

Congratulations Arbor! I know it was a great deal of hassle for you having to listening to opposing advice from ICA and MOM and needing to fly back to Spain.

Yes, it's always full. So we booked a generic service schedule and once we were there, they gave us a proper schedule which was 2 or 3 weeks from then.

Do you mean on your notification letter you are asked to collect fingerprints again so you need to make an appointment for that? Thanks
