Hi,
I thought it would be a good idea to have a threat just on PEP (personal employment pass) so we can share processing time.
It is mentioned that processing time for the PEP is within 8 weeks (as of the 11th of June 2018 - see
http://www.mom.gov.sg/passes-and-permit ... for-a-pass)
FYI, here are details of my case
Date of Application = 18/05/2018
Approved on the 5/07/2018 (48 days)
I am expecting to hear back by the 12th of July, or earlier.
One can check PEP status here: https://eponline.mom.gov.sg/epol/PEPOLE ... yAction.do
Will update one I hear more on my status.
Please share yours experience and processing time.

Not sure I understand your comment.
Do you want to develop?

What SMS means is even if you ask for experience from other people, it wont be related to your PEP case for some might have it approved in 1 week and some might have taken 10 weeks. Based on this, how can you relate it to your case.
So, he is asking to patiently wait for your outcome

When I'd applied, the MOM website stated that processing times were 8 weeks.
Mine took 8 weeks - to the day.
The actual approval appears to happen earlier (based on the date on the letter), but they send out the notification letter right on the day of 8 weeks. The electronic status also updates only on the last day of the 8-week period.
A colleague of mine had the very same experience. So did a friend of their's.

Hi,
I had applied for PEP in Nov 2018 and based on the online status of my application it got approved in 3 weeks. I am yet to receive the IPA (in-principle approval letter) though. Any idea how long does it take to get the IPA?

In 1-3 weeks after your approval

thank you, singaporeflyer.
Can I apply for DPs in the meanwhile or it can be done only after getting the IPA?

You can apply for DP while waiting for your IPA. Not sure if it has changed now. When I had applied for PEP, I applied for DP for my family along with my PEP application

Hi I am currently in Singapore on a 90 day visit pass. I just received my ipa letter. I have been here four weeks already and due to start work beginning of January. Do I need to leave Singapore first and present my ipa letter at immigration or can I continue to stay here without having to leave? Thanks everyone just a bit confused

based on what I know, you can continue to stay on the Visit Pass and issue your EP in Jan 2019.
