If you're someone looking to use these learning aids, check with the school first? Some schools have a "learning device policy" but i do not think it starts in kindergarten? These stats aren't really publicly avail ):

depends on the school. Some schools have a policy regarding iPads
Re: Using IPad, Tablet as a learning material
Experts usually recommend no device usage before 2 years old. Even after that, recommended daily usage is about 30mins.

yes, pls restrict screen time for your kids.Happymama wrote:Experts usually recommend no device usage before 2 years old. Even after that, recommended daily usage is about 30mins.
i am trying to get the kid out to play more with legos, magnetic blocks, flash cards, models that let him experiment more rather than stare blankly at a screen.
no idea if the screentime will reduce his social skills too, but i rather not take the risks.
unfortunately, quite a fair bit of children nowadays are hooked to ipad or phones
Re: Using IPad, Tablet as a learning material
Try not to use too much devices as learning material despite is much more convenient and hassle free. They will be too relying on devices. Maybe some flash card, or practically object for them will be much better. Otherwise kids gonna make it a habit to rely on devices. TT But of course, not to say totally restrict. haha maybe at a lesser period of time.
