Thank you so much for the advice and info.

You will get a paper Entry Permit and Re-entry Permit on spot. After a few week, you will get your official NRIC card.

Just follow the procedure. Provide the relevant document requested. ICA will request you to take finger print record which you can use it for immigration check. Overall very straightforward.
