Hi,
I'm new to Singapore and new to this forum too. I'm in Singapore for a 6-month assignment and am currently putting up in a hotel. I'm looking for other accommodation types. Any one tried metroresidences? A colleague mentioned that I could check them out but I've not known anyone who has stayed with them before. Appreciate any review or alternative recommendations!!
here's their site by the way.

That’s not hotel, that’s just normal
condos units scattered across various district in Singapore. They are all owned by the company and offers for medium term stay. I stayed once in a
condo owned by them for seven weeks. Good. Price will be more expensive than normal condo rental which minimum stay is 2 year. But it is definitely cheaper than staying in hotel for six months.

You can rent a place here for 6 months... just need to look, it doesn’t have to be a 2 year contract for a
condo.

Let me see.....You could fly. You could take a ship. You could drive. You could take a lot of busses or you could ride a bicycle but it's a bit of a long ride. Finding a job is difficult for the best of people. I wouldn't hold your breath while looking.

What sort of work are you looking for?
Sg isn't the sort of place you can just turn up and find work. Read these forums and you'll get the idea.

Little chance, locals can do that. They get priority. Unless you have a niche skill not easily found here you should look elsewhere.
However plenty of the big hotel chains seem to have foreigners in customer facing roles so it's not impossible, just difficult.
