Gigs, I don't recognize your name but you sound awefully familiar. In any case - you're right: the Crazy Elephant is absolutely amazing, one of the best blues bars ANYWHERE on this planet. Co-owner John Chee is a fantastic guitar player and it's a treat to hear him play on Jam nights and with the Blues Machine (which I last heard with Greg Nunan on vocals: he was phenomenal, and be sure to find out when Jeanne French will be back to sing with band - you'll almost feel guilty for not having paid a heavy cover charge or ticket price). I also heard the Ocean band play there many times - they are a tremendous talent in their own right, and a testament to co-owner Keef's, John's and Jeanne's passion and great eye for developing up and coming new mega-talent. Be sure to cach their set of cool blues and classic rock covers along with their impressive originals (and pseudo-originals like I Think She Likes Me). The only band that's louder (and, believe it or not, better) than my shirts!

My flatmate actually knows Greg Nunnan and he will be back around November/December time in Singapore. He's currently doing gigs around Sydney and does regular gigs at Coogee Bay Hotel.
He's an awesome guitar player...
