Weekend break

Hello! Any tips on where to go for a weekend break?
Friday evening to Sunday evening.
Somewhere quiet, if possible.
I don’t mind flying, but maximum 2 hours.

You have so many options for a get-away that it is mind boggling.

Short and sweet (cheap, too) catch a ferry for a weekend at an island resort at Bintan (fancier) or Batam (closer, cheaper).

Drive or catch a flight to Tioman island... many nice spots to stay, some very secluded. Penang is another spot to consider.

It's 2 hours 15 minutes to Bangkok.
