Visa extension

Post by rich richie » Fri, 13 Apr 2018 11:33 am

I had visited Singapore and loved it. From what i gathered the most you can stay is 89 days as a visitor/tourist? Is it possible to stay longer - live there long term? Here in the Philippines as a tourist you get 28 days initially but you can keep renewing at 30 or 60 or 90 day intervals but after 36 months you have to leave over night and then start the process all over again. Does Singapore have something like this or is the most 89 days and you are allowed to leave and return for another 89 days

What’s your purpose of staying here for longer than what a tourist visa usually allows?

Yeah, I am discovering that there are no other countries like the Philippines that allow you to extend your visa for longer periods. Here in the Philippines i can extend for somewhere around 36 months +/- before having to leave the country overnight and then start the process again on extensions. It would be nice to have the option of visiting other countries and stay longer than a month or two. The only other country that allows longer stays is Mexico, they just have some criteria to meet.
