Doing business in India

Post by Oasis_139 » Wed, 23 Feb 2005 10:32 pm

My two partners and I are very interested in India's market. I understand that there are many expatriates from India working in Singapore. Could anyone share how to do a business in India? Anyone interested a career with us as well? We are intending to open our India market. Hope someone could share.

Oasis,
Are you chinese?
Advise from me is doing business with malay and indian can be risky, especially if someone you do not know well.
I got a few very bad experience with them. Attitude problem (advise and don't change) and they are the type can give commitment /promise and don't fulfilled for you.
My friends who owns business do not want them as employees also due to certain reasons.
But there are some who are really got good attitude and willing to work together as partners.
Hope everything goes smoothly for you.
Regards
Amy

Hello,i really cant deny the fact of the commitment problems with indians, but its very much annoying to see the comment which gives an impression that most of the indians are like that..not at all..some may be bad..n i think its the same everywhere...due to some people we cant say that the entire community is bad or good...
Anyway regarding the business yes india is booming now...the market seems fantastic with excellent growth rate...May be if you can share with us which kind of business you are looking that'd be grt..
Anyway my best wishes to you..

Hi,
Sorry, I am saying most is like that but there are still certain percentage of them are good. It depends very much on the person you meet.
Not able to chat too details like that in the web, don't forget we are one family in spore.
I believe if you are able to keep your a clear mind and you can discover it yourself. JUST BECAREFUL doing business with them , feel the trust within them before both side committed.
India sure is booming, go in at the right timing, plan & monitor the situations.
Good luck to your business
Regards
Amy

Hey Amy,
You are right. I very much agreed with you. They got very bad attitude, bad behaviour (eg putting time bomb, flying aeroplane etc..hope you know what I mean) and do many things in non-manners ways as they seem to be friendly in appearance.

I got some very bad really bad experience with them today with some issues. :x

Some of them who is rich seem like they are owning the world, wow can be really fustrated talking to them.

hai......black luck meeting them... :(

Maybe you will like to comment on yourself and the kind of personality that you have by giving such comments. What about people's opinion of YOU when you judge an entire basket of eggs by tasting only a handful?

Many times I've heard of people saying Indians are like snakes. But all, yes ALL, of the Indians that I've come across with are nice. Now, tell me, is it fair for me to say that they are bad too, when in fact they have been nice to me?

By the way, all businesses are risy. Just like the saying goes, 'No risk no gain'. :)

Roxy,

Best thing I read so far...xxxholes come in all shapes sizes and colours and people should be taken for who they are as individuals and nothing else. I make my business dealings with people based on my gut and if I can trust them as individuals and not based on what colour they are or some blanket judgement.

Always good to see sensible posts..

Cheers

I don't know when you people will grow up to see the world in detail and give up your stereotypic nature?, you are complaining as though all chinese are honest and trustworthy people!, just goto SIM lim and see how you will be ripped off by your own people. Even a painter here uses all sort of tricks to rip you off., Look at the fraud cases in News paper and see who commited more cheats and apologised or sued

Can we make stereotypic conclusion of a race just because of few bad experiences, or even all bad experiences with those particular race people?, that simply means that I am not mature enough to deal with people and need to learn more. Pls grow up and stop passing racial hatred in public forums, you may force a good guy to be bad with your entire race.

Good luck you heavenly creatures!
