We're living in Service Apartment in CBD/Financial District for a month while we searching for a condo.
New bank debit & credit cards were sent by the new SG bank to this service apartment address -
no other options and a substantial salary payment was imminent.
Asked letting agent to let me know where mailbox is so I can check each day as cards arrive.
Agent tells me that they'll have a look and drop mail up to apartment.
After a few days silence and no mail appearing, I check again.
Agent again says they will look into it.
Agent comes back 2 days later and says they don't have access currently, and it will take them another week before they can open it. The keys aren't available aparantly.
That will be 2.5 weeks since I asked them, and it's costing me a fortune in bank charges to use cards from back home - let alone not having access to my funds.
I'm not happy at all to sit and wait another week for them - I'm not even guaranteed that they will do anything at that point either - could get strung along for another few days.
None of this was ever mentioned to us upfront - and even when I asked, it was communicated to us as very matter of fact/normal - they'd check and drop it up - no probs, this is normal vibes off it.
Now that has changed this evening to "we can only check once a week", and subsequently 2 hours later "keys aren't available so that will slip to 2.5 weeks".
Should I get a locksmith out and just get it opened up or call the police for withholding mail ?
I need my debit & credit cards asap.
