Seborrheic Dermititis Hyperpigmentation & Acne

Post by Friend in need of help » Wed, 23 Feb 2005 6:26 pm

Hi Readers,

I have this typical Seborrheic dermititis/contact dermititis. I need to check with any of you guys -if have suffered from this skin inflamation condition and how to recover from it.

I am stuggling, been to so many dermatologists, so much money spent but no real results. The condition has become worse due to some hyperpigmantation occuring under the eyes around the nose, on the forehead due to exposure to sun. I try to use sunscreens but the olininess causes a breakout of pimples. My Acne and Dermatitis and hyperpigmentation are side effects of curing any one of them and they are so interlocked.

I need to ask - any precautions, herbal rememdies, any good doctor, alternate therapies - aromatherapy, ayurvedic or any other technique that can help to cure my problem.

I read somewhere that Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother helps to cure this.

Pls advise.

Regards

I am not sure what dermatitis condition you are talking about. I do have remedies for acne though - try this one:

Go to Little India - you can find the following from some of the stores there;

Neem Powder
Sandalwood Powder (pure, for skin)
Rosewater

Mix the three to make a paste. You can also add a little lemon juice - helps lighten scars. Put on skin for about 1/2 hour or until dries. do for about 2 -3 weeks.

Also, do not put sunscreen on your face - you should be using a moisturizer that has sunscreen in it. The best is Cetaphil.

i also got problematic skin (oily, acne, redness, pigmentation), have read on internet about dermadoctor product ( www.dermadoctor.com) and they claim to be good.. they advice me to use Calm, Cool & Corrected 2n1 Tx Rosacea ( even i have no rosacea ), i am quite interested by the testimonials but still not convinced yet to buy as quite ex ( USD 85 ) and dunno whether it really good as they claim ( they said can cure seborrhea also). maybe anyone knows abt the products and can share their experiences ( whether applicable for asian climate also as their origin is USA)?
:wink:
