To apply for PR now or not

Post by SMDSG » Mon, 19 Mar 2018 8:08 pm

Hi All,

I have gained a lot of useful insights from this forum. I'd just like to seek your views on applying for a PR.
Here's my profile:
- I'm a 24yo Indian woman (Tamil-speaking).
- I hold a Masters in Chemical Engineering from NUS (Scholarship holder)
- Currently working as a Researcher (EPass) on a Singapore Govt-led initiative to improve labour/project productivity in the petrochemical industry. I interact with both govt bodies and industry on a regular basis and my work contributes to delivering real-time results to this sector.
- Lived here for 3 years now (working for 8 months). As cliched as it might sound, I've grown to like SG a lot!

I understand that being from India may not really help my case :D (read a lot about it in this forum).Just wanted to seek your opinions on whether it would make sense to apply for PR now or wait. Thanks!

Wait until you have been working here for at least 24 consecutive months or three tax assessments. Before that and you are asking for rejection. However, if you don't mind rejection go ahead and apply early, but the application asks for the above.
