Singapore PR planning to go for Masters

Hi,
I became a PR in July 2015. My REP will expire in July 2020.

I plan to go for my 2 year masters program overseas from August 2018.

Will ICA allow me to renew my REP in August 2020 given that I have been constantly working in Singapore since 2013 and am going for my masters only in August 2018? I will maybe not be able to show any income from August 2018 to Aug 2020
