Safe/Best way to get a PR ?

Post by SSD » Mon, 21 Feb 2005 4:59 pm

Hi,

I have landed in Singapore about a month back on a P2(S$ 4500 Per Month) EP. I am contemplating to apply for a PR soon. I wish to know :
1. Can i apply for it now or is it good to wait for some more time and how much time ?
2. I plan to get my family & mother to Singapore around July'2005. Do I have to get a PR for them too ?
3. I fear that my present employer in Singapore might not support me in applying for PR. How do I tackle this ? Can I get a PR without the notice of my employer ? Is employer's remarks/signature's essentially required on PR application form ?
4. Is it better to plan for getting my PR before I start processing for my family & mother's VISA's ? After getting my PR what type of VISA would be required for my family & mother to come over to Singapore?

Any quick response in this regard is hightly appreciated.

SSD.

yes, you can apply for the PR now. And you need all the document support from you employer. company chop and sign.

after you get the PR then you can apply for your family to come over.

And to get the result need to wait for three month.

you need to spend a lots of time during office hour to submit your form, personally.if you document they will sent you the letter to go again and again.

You can apply now, but with only one month's residence the odds of success are not very high. You're likely to have better luck with a tax bill in hand -- which means waiting for a year.

then what if I'm a PR under my father for 15 years, and my PR is expiring soon.

Should I be applying a NEW PR status or just renewing it?

If applying a new PR status, I'm not working right now. Will my chances of getting a PR high?
