Re: PR Pending
I think my case like pure luck or determination? Lol
Applied 3 times (till now) first time after got married. Rejected 4 month later. Then try again. After i giving birth. Together with my baby application. Rejected both of us 4 month later. Then i try again last sept. Total trying 3 times in 8 years lol.
My husband is my sponsor. Hes SPR for 10years. Me and my daughter holding ltvp for long time (i just renew my ltvp this month) truth to be told i just told my husband im tired applying pr again if got rejected again. So it will be my last. Then maybe ica and god hear my pray. Suddenly i got approved letter hahaha

Re: PR Pending
Hi All,
just want to sharing my experience of PR application.
I've heard a lot factors might cause the PR get rejected or approved, but don't know what factors really affected. (stable job, education, race, country of origin, certain amount of money etc)
I am Indonesian (chinese), but I can't speak chinese at all.
I never study or work in Singapore, currently I working in Batam, my salary convert to SGD is only about $1,500/month. I coming back SG only for weekend or sometime twice a month.
My education : degree
Nov'15 : I married with local singaporean
Feb'16 : my 1st LTVP
Jan'17 : my 2nd year LTVP (renewal), at the same year I tried to apply PR.
May"17 : 1st apply PR
I waited for the approval so long and almost give up, so I renewed my LTVP again in Jan'18 coz my 2nd LTVP expire Jan'18, after renew, my PR get approved in Feb'18.
so waiting time about almost 9 months for my PR.
I guess I just lucky to get the PR ? or anyone know why they give the PR.

Re: PR Pending
I suggest to @liupeng just wait and don't think too much about the PR, whatever the background and current situation, no one know what factor can guarantee 100% get approval.sundaymorningstaple wrote:So, LiuPeng, what have you learned that is of any use whatsoever???LiuPeng wrote:Congratulations! Re: PR Pending
Imo luck does not do anything here. You will your PR if:Maria15 wrote:I just read most of PR applicant thread. And yes theres no pattern. Its just pure luck i guess? Only ica officer and god know.
- you are of a favorable race, i.e. chinese malaysian/indonesian
- you married a Singaporean and had a kid with your spouse
If you are in one of that two categories, you will get it in 1 to 3 tries.
The other factors (i.e. salary/profession/year of stay) do not matter.

Not really. I am indonesian but my race is not chinese. Yes im married and have a kid but not married singaporean, just SPR.
Even i didnt stay in singapore anymore the past 2.5 years. I stay in Batam. Went to singapore only once a month. My hubby only stay in SG on weekdays for working. And i got approved, the reason only ica officer and god knows.
Maybe because hes been PR for 10 years? Or because his cpf? And we’ve been married for long time so ica think we not married just for the sake of PR. But in the end we just can assume. The answer only ica officer knows.
I applied first time after got married 2010 and got rejected. Then applied again 2014 with my baby, rejected. Then I try again sept last year and got approved now. Three times lucky?

Duration of stay in Singapore and Salary matters if someone applies for PR through the PTS Scheme.phamtieugiao wrote:Imo luck does not do anything here.
