What is the expected EP Processing Time if encountered Public Holidays like Chinese New Year?

Post by richardlai » Mon, 26 Feb 2018 11:04 am

I have read from other posts in this forum about EP processing time, which is mainly on 6-7 working days. However during some public holidays like Chinese New Year, a lot of employee are expected to take leaves. I am worry that this will increase the time required for EP application.

I would like to ask whether anyone has experience in which their EP application also being submitted just slightly before public holidays and how many days it took for your EP Application being approved?

My EP application was submitted just few days before Chinese New Years and it has now being about 7 working days, but it is still in pending state. I am feeling anxious now.

It will take between 3 days to 3 months, with or without the holidays.

I believe they extended the typical processing time from 7 days to 3 weeks:

so, don't sweat it. =)

Relax.

I just did a renewal and new EP application back to back just 4 months ago, and both took EXACTLY 21 working days. I swear. Both. Approval on the 21st working day. Like clockwork.

You still have time.
