Any way at all to get rid of slightly chubby cheeks? (:
Hi! I'm of normal weight. maybe slightly lower than normal. my upper body is thin but my cheeks are a bit chubby. I won't say their fat but their just not as slim as they used to be. My cheeks started getting a bit chubbier like 2 and a half years ago.. a miss my really slim face. but its not like im getting heavier or the rest of my body is getting fatter. pretty much the same 'thiness'. anyone has this prob too or am i the only weird one? hehe. so any ideas how to slim the face? let me know ! =D

I know this migth sound crazy but slapping both sides of your cheeks with a slow and inwardly pushing motion will actually make your face look less chubby! I dont know the logic in this but me and my frd does it each night and it works! crazy isnt it... but it works...tinkerbella wrote:Hi! hi tinkerbella...
i too face the same problem. but unlike u, i have had chubby cheeks and a little bit of 'double chin' as far as i can remember. no matter what i did, they refuse to go away. so much so that i feel so self concious i avoid facing the camera when taking photos, and try to angle my face so that it will appear thinner.
i have read that its either coz its genetic or coz of weight gain. as for me, ive been of normal weight my whole life, so i doubt its the latter. my dad and my grandmother too have chubby cheeks, so guess i found my answer.
i did a lot of research and found out about this procedure called the 'buccal fat pad removal' , ie the removal of fat from the cheeks.
i consulted a well-known plastic surgeon in my hometown, but he refused to do it coz he honestly told me he hasnt done it before. while i appreciate his honesty, it doesnt do anything to stop me feeling so self conscious about my fat face!
im glad to say ive found another surgeon who would perform the procedure. ive booked in to have it done in june. so im just counting down the days to a slim face now!
while it may sound like a drastic move, believe me...nothing has ever worked for me. ive tried creams, facial exercises that consist of weird facial expressions, used vibrating facial massagers...nothing...i dont know if having invasive surgery is the best answer out there, but it has to be for me
hope that little piece of info helps.

the surgery is only in june so i dont know exactly how the surgeon will do it.
but ive read that they make an incision inside your mouth and kinda scoop the fat out. a relatively safe procedure i would think. i hope so.
im malaysian, currently in australia. the malaysian surgeon thought i should wait a couple of years before doing it. but my mind's made up. found an aussie surgeon. yup gotta pay in AUD instead of malaysian ringgit, but i dont care...ive been living with my chubby cheeks long enuff.
but from what u said tinkerbella...u used to have a slim face, so i guess u probably shouldnt resort to surgery. my cheeks are quite chubby so exercise didnt help. but maybe u could give them a try since u only have a slight problem.
