Hi all,
We (wife and I) have been very happy living in our apartment for 15 months now. Nothing serious ever happened apart from some lights breaking and some very minor water dmg on the wooden plinths due to the heavy rain sometimes coming in between the window panes.
However last week the refrigerator broke so i planned to reach out to the landlord to get his agreement on repair/renewal. Only to find out that there was no contact information at all, and upon reaching out to the LL agent, they informed us that everything has to go trough them. (is this normal in Singapore?)
It is now a week later and the LL agent still informs me that they cant reach the LL and therefore i am not allowed to engage a repair service. This as the contract states for small repair anything over 150$ i need to get approval.
Haven't i waited a 'reasonable amount of time'?
As its a refrigerator, its very inconvenient and its starting to smell up the place. Furthermore the official brand service center has informed me that the longer we wait, the more likely a full replacement is required due to bacteria buildup in the system.
Please advice, thank you.

Repairing using authorized agent keep the bill deduct from the rent and be prepared for putting in a case to the small claims tribunal to get back your deposit.

Hi all,
The issue has been resolved. It turned out to be the fault of my agent as she was 'too busy' to forward my initial request to the LL agent until yesterday evening (4 days after i send it to her).
I found the LL's agent on Pguru and contacted her directly and within 2 hours i had the LL on the phone and everything was resolved.
So lesson learned; always insist on getting contact details of LL and LL agent as it might be your agent that is screwing you over.
Regards and thanks for the help.
