How long is a piece of string? Figure that out and you have your answer.

Those numbers seem so surreal. I had mine processed in about 5 days when I applied about 3 years ago. I am not planning to come back to SG again, so I am wondering how long this will take now!

I am also waiting from 3 weeks now. My employer has received an email from MoM stating process takes time now a days. Do we get any email or reason in case they reject for specific reason.

Not normally. They do this for a reason. In the near past, there have been several ethnic groups who have taken that information and then tried to tailor make their resumes to avoid the negatives but eventually get caught anyway, thereby giving whole races here a bad name due to a few bad apples.

My employer received one set of justification 5 days back and they replied to them. HR said me this is usual justification and they will update me the status.
Can anyone throw some light if this is normal?

Without knowing what is the justification, how can we throw light?

Hi,
I’m holding DP and I recently migrated to Singapore from India. Soon I got a job in SAP for a good salary in a Manufacturing company. They applied EP on 08/11/2018 but got rejected after 2 weeks due to unknown reason which weren’t disclosed by the company. But the re appealed on 23/11/2018. I understand that average processing time is up to 3 weeks. But today I saw a job post for the same role they have recruited me from the same organisation in one of the job sites. I’m not sure and confused how to take this forward. I even tried speaking with my HR but my HR is on Long leave. As it is already been 19 days after re appeal, I would like to get expert’s advice from your end.
KIndly help in this case.
Thanks I’m advance.

Appeals take at least 3 weeks, sometimes a little longer. So, wait for the outcome. But there is no guarantee that your employer will wait keeping the job position open

Contract is subject to your EP being approved. If not, the contract is not valid.

Hi,
My employer filed EP on 13th Dec 2018 and awaiting positive reply from MOM. last time, the same employer filed ep and approved after long 2 months 45 days in the year 2016. That time because of the delay, i was not able to make it to SG. This time hope some good thing will happen.
Thanks,
