PR APPLICATION IS PENDING BUT MY PASS WILL BE CANCELLED

Post by Phinep » Sun, 07 Jan 2018 2:22 pm

We’ve applied PR and it’s 2months pending now. I am filipino holding Spass and staying in Singapore for 7 years. My husband is Singaporean and we’ve decided to apply PR through his sponsorship last Nov 2017. However this January, the company where I am currently employed announced that they are going to close down so they have to cancel my Spass by end of January. I am not really familiar about all these things and I saw this forum discussing about Pr applications. I would just like to know, now that Pr application is still pending, and theyre going to cancel my pass, will it affect my application and will be automatically void?

Yes, your PR application will be canceled automatically. You will receive the cancellation letter 2-4 weeks after your SPass cancellation.

Not necessarily true. If you are applying for PR via Family Ties to a Singapore Citizen, it is not even a requirement to have a job as long as your sponsor spouse is capable of showing the necessary income requirements to meet ICA's requirements.

Oh yeah, that's true. Maybe my housemate applied under professional scheme. He received PR crenelation letter two weeks after EP Cancellation.
