Hi, this is my first time filling up form SCRA. Page 6 is the path of renunciation, allegiance and loyalty which applicant need to sign in when he actually appears before the person who is authorised to administer oats. And it should be sign off by justice of peace / commissioner for oaths.
Should this be done in front of ICA officer ? Are they authorised to administer oaths since they are officers in the employment of government ministries (as below)? If not, how should this be completed?
“Commissioners for oaths” generally refer to advocates and solicitors, court interpreters, officers in the employment of government ministries, departments, statutory boards, government-linked companies and employees of designated non-profit organisations who are considered fit and proper persons to be appointed to administer oaths. These appointments are made by the Board of Commissioners for Oaths and Notaries Public.

How to fill in form SCRA page 6
You do not need to complete this section at initial application. This oath for loyalty and allegiance is to be taken when your application has been approved and you have renounced your current citizenship. Or else you can't pledge your allegiance to SG.Mintygreen wrote:Hi, this is my first time filling up form SCRA. And yes, there will be an ICA officer who is a Commissioner for oaths whom you will meet when you complete your formalities.
